Winners of the Business Excellence in Chocolatier award at the Bumiputera Business Excellence Awards 2021, LF Barakah SdnBhd is an OEM manufacturer of chocolate-based products operating in Malaysia, giving traders the opportunity to create their own chocolate brands.
Owned by couples, Mohamad Lukman and FatinNabilah the company was established in 2018 and was incorporated as a private limited company in 2020. Starting out in a small home kitchen and today expanding into becoming a winning chocolate factory, LF Barakah Sdn. Bhd has the vision to be the best manufacturer of chocolates in Malaysia and the Asian region.
Speaking of their success at the BBEA 2021, the company’s CEO, Mohamad Lukman bin Mohamad Nafis mentioned the award is important for their business as it serves to ‘benchmark’ the position of their business.
“With our nomination in this award, we are able to increase our credibility and it is a testament to the company's previous efforts. With our e-commerce platform on Shopee that has been in place for the past five years, we have managed to witness a huge success this award is also helpful as a form of PR (Public Relations) and marketing initiative for our company. I am also confident that this award will be useful to increase the morale of staff, stockists, agents, and our drop-ship partners,” said Lukman.
With the aim of helping young people to make their own income in business, LF Barakah is specifically known for their signature chocojar product which is sold as an OEM product from others to sell in their own brand names. The company also aspires to help housewives and outsiders who wish to sell Bumiputera chocolate products.
“Our hope next year is to diversify our product offerings and become a supplier who can manufacture various types of chocolate for leading companies. With that, we also want to urge more youngsters to venture into the business,” he said.
“Young people must first identify their interest and take advantage of the time by gain the necessary knowledge about the business in order to improve self-change from time to time. On top of being disciplined and having a positive attitude, youngsters must also be creative and innovative to come up with ideas that add attracts the public," Lukman added.
