Winning the Promising Business in Clothing and Apparel award at the Bumiputera Business Excellence Awards 2021, D’Khair Collection is a Baju Melayu clothing brand operated by the company.
De Khair Enterprise. Starting its operation in 2003, the company is involved in the business of selling and supplying clothing and apparel such as Malay clothes, robes, kopiah, songkok, baju kurung, batik shirts, and more. In line with its business development, the company went through a rebranding process in June 2016 where the original D’Khair Collection logo and brand were changed to DK, to align with the current market trends and demands.
Speaking during the BBEA 2021 awarding ceremony, Abu Khair bin Yahya, the CEO of DKHAIR NETWORK HOLDING (M) SDN BHD expressed his gratitude to the Almighty and his loved ones for the award at the BBEA 2021.
“My infinite thanks to my mother, wife, family, and friends who have supported me over the years. I am very touched and happy with this recognition and hopefully, it can increase my spirit to go and achieve even more in business. This award also gives confidence to my customers to continue supporting our business and get to know our brand’s products, especially the DK Malay shirts, DK Kurta and DK Robes. It also gives confidence for us to give the best for our customers, particularly the Bumiputera community,” said Abu Khair.
With the vision to become the brand of choice for Malaysians in the men’s fashion and clothing industry by supplying and selling quality products, the company hopes to expand the reach of the DK brand and attract more customers, especially the Bumiputera community to buy their products. Notably, the CEO also highlighted that their target is to at least double the sales in the coming year.
Providing a word of advice to up-and-coming Bumiputera entrepreneurs, Abu Kahir mentioned that knowledge and interest to keep learning will be very important to grow a business.
“My advice or comment to the young Bumiputera ‘usahawan’ is to seek knowledge first before venturing into any field of business because to succeed in the business world, you must be knowledgeable. To be an entrepreneur, we need to make the best choice for ourselves and the business because success will not come overnight,” he adds.
